Role Description The Zonal Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for driving sales, distribution, and brand visibility across the assigned zone. This role involves managing and mentoring field teams, overseeing channel partners and distributors, and ensuring adherence to sales targets and performance metrics.

The Zonal

Manager will monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform regional strategies and promotional activities. Daily responsibilities include reviewing sales reports, optimizing route plans, coordinating with marketing and operations, and ensuring consistent execution of company standards at all retail and partner outlets.



The role also requires regular travel within the zone to build relationships with key stakeholders and support store activations and events.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in zonal, regional, or area sales management, preferably in FMCG, dairy, or frozen foods.
- Strong skills in sales planning, territory management, and performance tracking using CRM or sales reporting tools.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop field and distributor teams, with a focus on accountability and coaching.
- Competence in relationship management and negotiation with retailers, distributors, and institutional partners.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting sales data, market insights, and operational challenges.
- Effective communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in local languages of the zone is an advantage.
- Comfort with on-site work, frequent travel within the zone, and a hands-on approach in market visits and store checks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Exposure to modern trade, general trade, and channel expansion initiatives is highly beneficial.
