About the Role

Honey Makhija Group is looking for a talented and hardworking Shorts Video Editor to create engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

The editor will work directly on content for Dr Honey Makhija's personal brand, including business, lifestyle, entrepreneurship, daily-life, and other short-form content.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Convert raw footage, long-form videos, podcasts, interviews, and daily-life footage into engaging short clips.
- Identify the strongest moments and create compelling hooks within the first few seconds.
- Add captions, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, music, zooms, graphics, and other elements where appropriate.
- Maintain fast pacing and strong viewer retention.
- Follow current Instagram and YouTube Shorts trends.
- Create multiple short videos from available raw footage when required.
- Maintain consistent visual and editing quality across social media channels.
- Work closely with the content and social media team to meet daily publishing requirements.
- Organize video files and project files properly.
- Complete edits quickly and meet assigned deadlines.
- Prepare videos for final publishing on Instagram and YouTube.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software.
- Excellent understanding of short-form video content.
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, timing, and visual composition.
- Ability to create attention-grabbing hooks.
- Good understanding of captions, subtitles, sound design, music, transitions, and effects.




- Ability to edit specifically for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality.
- Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills
- Experience editing content for creators, entrepreneurs, influencers, brands, or YouTube channels.
- Knowledge of viral short-form content formats.
- Basic motion graphics and animation skills.
- Basic thumbnail/design skills.
- Understanding of social-media analytics and viewer retention.
- Ability to identify clips with high viral potential.
