Role Purpose

To support the implementation of digital transformation and automation initiatives across plant operations by leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies, data analytics, automation, and digital solutions to improve operational efficiency, productivity, reliability, quality, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Support identification and implementation of digital transformation and automation opportunities across plant operations.
- Work with business and functional teams to understand operational challenges and translate them into technology-enabled solutions.
- Support deployment of Industry 4.0, IIoT, AI/ML, analytics, RPA, and automation solutions.
- Collect, integrate, and analyse operational data from plant systems such as PLC, SCADA, DCS, MES, ERP/SAP, historians, and IoT platforms.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualization solutions to enable real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
- Support development and implementation of automated workflows and digital applications to improve process efficiency.
- Participate in Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilot projects, technology evaluations, and scale-up initiatives.
- Coordinate with IT, Automation, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and external technology partners for project implementation.
- Assist in integration of plant automation systems with enterprise and digital platforms.




- Identify opportunities for predictive maintenance, process optimization, energy efficiency, quality improvement, and productivity enhancement through digital technologies.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to deployed digital and automation solutions.
- Maintain project documentation, technical specifications, SOPs, user requirements, and implementation reports.
- Monitor project progress against defined timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics.
- Support user training, adoption, and change management for newly implemented digital solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity, IT/OT security, data governance, and plant safety requirements.
- Track perks realized from digital initiatives and prepare periodic MIS for management review.

Educational Qualification





- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology / Automation Engineering.
- MBA/PGDM in Technology / Digital Transformation / Operations will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in Digital Transformation, Industrial Automation, Industry 4.0, Data Analytics, IT/OT, or technology implementation.
- Experience in steel, metals, power, mining, manufacturing, or other process industries will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong exposure to plant automation and digital technologies will be preferred.
