Role Description The Solar Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Pune District, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role involves designing and optimizing rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and mobility applications, including integrated solar + storage + EV charging projects.
Day-to-day tasks include performing site assessments, preparing system layouts and single-line diagrams, conducting engineering calculations, and supporting detailed electrical and PV design.
The Solar
Engineer will collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure technical accuracy, compliance with relevant standards, and smooth project execution from design to commissioning. The role also includes preparing technical documentation,
supporting energy performance analysis, and contributing to continuous improvement of Solaron’s engineering practices and tools.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of the solar industry and solar power applications across residential, commercial, and mobility segments.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience with solar systems, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and integrated solar + storage + EV charging configurations.
- Candidates should possess PV design skills, including system sizing, layout design, cable routing, and energy yield estimation using industry-standard tools.
- Candidates should possess electrical design capabilities, including single-line diagrams, protection schemes, grounding, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Familiarity with PV design and simulation software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD or similar) and basic understanding of AI-enabled or digital monitoring platforms.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in field and office environments in a hybrid setting.
- Experience with Indian regulatory standards, grid interconnection requirements, and practical knowledge of project execution is an advantage.
