Role Overview

EXL is looking for a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python, PySpark, and Snowflake. The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable data pipelines, integrating data from APIs, and working extensively with Snowflake as the primary database/data warehouse

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
- Work extensively with Snowflake as the primary database/data warehouse.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.
- Fetch, ingest, and transform data from REST APIs and other external data sources.
- Build reliable data ingestion frameworks and integrate multiple data sources into Snowflake.
- Perform data transformation, cleansing, validation, and quality checks.
- Optimize Snowflake queries, data models, and warehouse performance.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
- Follow engineering best practices for code quality, scalability, monitoring, and documentation.

- 38 years of relevant Data Engineering experience.
- Solid hands-on experience with Snowflake; Snowflake should be the primary database/data warehouse.
- Robust programming skills in Python.
- Strong experience with PySpark and distributed data processing.
- Hands-on experience fetching and processing data from APIs, preferably REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines.
- Good knowledge of SQL and data transformation techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets and building scalable data solutions.

Good to Have

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and version-control tools such as Git.
- Experience with Snowflake performance optimization and data modeling.

Candidate Profile We are looking for candidates who are:

- Strong technically and hands-on with Python, PySpark, and Snowflake.
- Comfortable working with API-based data ingestion.
- Able to independently design and troubleshoot data pipelines.
- Experienced in working with cloud-based data platforms.
- Available to join immediately or within a short notice period.

Immediate joiners will be preferred.
