Role & responsibilities
Monitor switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and links using NMS tools.
Ensure uptime and connectivity of WAN, LAN, and VPN links.
Monitor & co-ordination with respective OEM for the leased line connectivity for MDL.
Monitor firmware versions and warranty status.
Track network topology and changes.
Monitor firewall logs for unauthorized access or threats.
Identify and escalate intrusion attempts, port scans, or anomalies.
Ensure compliance with basic security policies and access control lists (ACLs).
Veri, configuration backups of critical network devices.
Log, analyze, and respond to network alerts and user-reported issues.
Perform basic troubleshooting (port flapping, link drops, etc.).
Escalate complex or recurring issues to L2/L3/network OEMs.
