We're building a medallion (bronze/silver/gold) data architecture on Databricks with Domo as the BI/analytics layer. This role owns the analytics partnership across three stakeholder groups whose priorities regularly conflict — Finance (financial reporting, GL-tied metrics), Clinical (coverage, call routing, stroke workflow performance), and Operations (throughput, scheduling, staffing).
The Lead is accountable for triaging and sequencing competing requests, not just executing whichever ticket lands first.
What you own
• Serve as the primary analytics point of contact for Finance, Clinical, and Operations — running requirements conversations directly with US stakeholders, not through a proxy.
• Arbitrate conflicting priorities across the three groups and escalate genuine ties to the CTO with a recommendation, not just a status update.
• Design and maintain data models within the Databricks medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers) feeding Domo dashboards.
• Own data quality and definitional consistency across domains (e.g., a “coverage” metric means the same thing whether Clinical or Ops is asking).
• Mentor/review the work of other analysts contributing to the same pipelines.
• Document metric definitions,
data lineage, and known limitations (e.g., where source data constrains what a metric can actually measure).
Requirements
• 5+ years in data analytics or analytics engineering, including experience prioritizing across multiple stakeholder groups with competing timelines.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (or equivalent lakehouse platform) and building/maintaining medallion-style data models.
• Experience with Domo or a comparable BI tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) at a level where you’re building semantic layers, not just charts.
• Robust SQL; comfort with Python or PySpark for pipeline work.
• Demonstrated ability to push back on stakeholders — asking clarifying questions, challenging vague requirements, saying no when priorities don’t line up.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; you will run live discussions with US stakeholders, not just exchange async tickets.
• Comfortable with a work schedule that regularly extends into the evening IST to overlap with US Eastern morning hours (roughly 9:30am–12:30pm ET / 7–10pm IST).
• Healthcare/HIPAA-adjacent data experience is a plus given the Clinical stakeholder group.
