Junior Business Controller – SG&A; / Non-Recurring
Role Purpose
Manage Operational Expenses (SG&A;) controlling for the IBAP/Global region and support the Global Controller in consolidating and monitoring global operational expenses. The role is responsible for planning, reporting, cost governance, financial analysis, and supporting strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
SG&A; Planning & Budgeting
- Support regional SG&A; planning cycles including:
- Annual Budget
- Forecast
- Outlook processes
- Coordinate regional SG&A; consolidation in line with global standards.
- Drive harmonization of cost structures, reporting, and allocation methodologies.
Cost Control & Governance
- Support the regional SG&A; cost control framework.
- Ensure transparency and discipline across all functions.
- Oversee cost governance including:
- Proper cost classification
- Approval workflows
- PR/PO process tracking
- Ensure solid ownership and accountability of cost centers.
Financial Closing & Reporting
- Oversee timely and accurate booking of accruals and provisions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities for SG&A; costs.
- Monitor SG&A; cost performance against budgets and targets.
- Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain Functional Cost Reporting Dashboard.
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting of regional SG&A; and non-recurring expenses.
Headcount & Cost Management
- Support headcount planning, tracking, and reporting across SG&A; functions.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain reporting dashboards and planning/reporting cycles.
Business Partnering
- Work with management to define action plans aligned with regional and global strategies.
- Collaborate with BU and regional leadership teams to achieve financial and business objectives.
- Build effective relationships with regional finance teams and key stakeholders.
