The Application Support Engineer provides hands-on, day-to-day support for the company's ERP and business applications across our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Application Support Manager, the role is the front line for resolving user issues, keeping systems running reliably, maintaining accurate data, and helping users get the most out of the ERP.
Working closely with colleagues across finance, supply chain, planning, production and quality, the Engineer diagnoses and resolves incidents, supports system and data changes, assists with user training, and escalates risks or recurring problems to the Application Support Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Application & Incident Support




Act as first and second line support for ERP and related business applications, logging, prioritising and resolving user tickets within agreed service levels (SLAs).
Diagnose and troubleshoot functional and technical issues, identifying root causes and applying or recommending fixes.
¢ Escalate complex or high-impact issues to the Application Support Manager, vendors or specialist teams, and follow through to resolution.
¢ Maintain clear, accurate records of issues, resolutions and configuration changes in the support system and knowledge base.
¢ Support system monitoring, routine checks and scheduled tasks to keep applications reliable and available during production hours.
Data Integrity & System Maintenance
¢ Perform routine data quality checks and help maintain the accuracy, completeness and consistency of master and transactional data.
