(Senior BI Engineer SAS to Dataform Conversion)

Location: India (Any-Remote)

Shift: 1 PM IST to 10 PM IST

Year of Experience: 7–12 years of overall BI/data engineering experience, including 3–5 years of SAS and advanced SQL, and 2–3 years of Google Cloud/Dataform experience.

Senior BI Engineer responsible for migrating legacy SAS reporting and data-processing workflows to Google Dataform and SQL-based pipelines. The role involves analyzing SAS logic, understanding business requirements, developing equivalent Dataform solutions, and validating migrated reports with business and IT stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze SAS programs, reporting logic, data transformations, and scheduling dependencies.
- Convert SAS workflows and business rules into Dataform and SQL.
- Develop scalable data transformation and preparation pipelines in GCP.
- Implement workflow orchestration, data quality checks, and validation rules.
- Optimize complex SQL queries and transformation logic.
- Validate migrated outputs against existing SAS reports and business expectations.
- Identify and resolve gaps between SAS and Dataform functionality.
- Support requirements gathering, clarification workshops, UAT, and business sign-off.
- Resolve migration defects and document conversion outcomes.
- Use Claude or similar AI tools for code conversion, validation, and remediation where appropriate.
