Job Description: Electronics Intern – EV Cycle Development & Testing
Responsibilities:
Work with Arduino IDE and develop/debug embedded code for ESP32 based systems.
Assist in ESP32 programming, including sensor integration, calibration, and feature enhancements.
Perform basic electronics testing, including verification of components, wiring continuity, and troubleshooting faults.
Conduct IP rating assessments for various components used in the EV cycle (waterproofing, dust protection, enclosure checks, etc.).
Carry out PCB assembly, testing, and repair, including soldering, component replacement, and board-level diagnostics.
Support system-level testing of the EV cycle, including battery, motor controller, display, communication modules, and safety systems.
Execute test procedures and validation activities for the already developed electronic system of the cycle.
Document test results, issues, and improvements in a structured format.
Coordinate with the engineering team for minor modifications, debugging, and iterative development of the EV cycle electronics.
Requirements:
Basic understanding of electronics components and circuits.
Familiarity with Arduino and ESP32 platforms.
Hands-on experience in soldering, PCB handling, and basic repair work.
Ability to follow test procedures and identify faults logically.
Interest in electric vehicles and embedded systems.
Any exposure to a PCB design tool — KiCad, EasyEDA, Altium, or Eagle (even a college project counts).
Able to analyse a basic circuit — calculate currents and voltages, select passives, and explain the role of each diode, transistor, and op-amp on the schematic.
Basic soldering ability, or the willingness to learn it properly in week one.
Comfort reading a datasheet and a schematic.
Some programming exposure — Embedded C, Arduino, or Python.
At least one project you built yourself and can explain end to end.
Honesty about what you don't know.
