Operate the spectrometer and check the chemical composition of cast metals.
Perform microstructure examination using a metallurgical microscope.
Prepare samples by cutting, grinding, polishing, and etching for micro examination.
Conduct hardness testing as per specified methods and standards.
Record and maintain spectro, micro, and hardness test results.
Compare test results with required material specifications and grades.
Immediately inform the Quality/Metallurgy Engineer about out-of-specification results.
Maintain laboratory equipment, testing tools, and work area.
