Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Database & Azure Migration Developer
to support enterprise-scale
data migration and modernization
initiatives. The role will focus on reverse-engineering legacy
Oracle PL/SQL
, developing
Azure Data Factory
migration pipelines, performing source-to-target mapping and reconciliation, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and reverse-engineer complex Oracle PL/SQL, database objects, and legacy data processing logic.
- Translate legacy database logic into Azure-based migration and integration solutions.
- Design and develop Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data movement, transformation, and orchestration.
- Work with Azure Data Lake and other Azure data services.
- Perform source-to-target mapping, data transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
- Ensure functional equivalence, data accuracy, traceability, and cross-system consistency.
- Collaborate with Data Modelers, Architects, QA, and downstream teams.
- Prepare LLDs, mapping documents,
migration specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
- Support integration testing, UAT, production deployment, and post-production stabilization.
- Troubleshoot migration issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, performance, and cloud best practices.
- Participate in Scrum/Agile ceremonies and coordinate with onsite/offshore teams.
- Maintain ownership of assigned deliverables, dependencies, risks, and timelines.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in data migration, modernization, or integration projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and ability to reverse-engineer complex legacy logic.
- Solid experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake and Azure data processing workflows.
