About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Technical Lead – Software Engineering to join our talented team in Mangalore. This role is pivotal in driving the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong background in Python and modern architectural practices.

You will take ownership of the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of our core systems, while mentoring junior developers and enforcing best practices in software engineering. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal technology, influence technical strategies, and contribute to a product that transforms legal data accessibility globally.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.



They should have at least five years of professional experience in software development, with proven expertise in Python programming and frameworks such as Django and Flask.

Experience in leading and mentoring development teams is essential, along with a solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and best practices in software engineering. Familiarity with microservices architecture, cloud infrastructure (particularly AWS), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines is required. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong grasp of AI Large Language Models (LLMs), including API-driven models like OpenAI and Claude, as well as open-source alternatives such as DeepSeek and Llama.

Expertise in performance optimization, debugging, and rapid prototyping through Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) is highly valued. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset are essential traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Oversee and enforce SDLC best practices, ensuring comprehensive documentation, proper version control, and adherence to development workflows. Lead and mentor a team of three or more developers, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and supporting their professional growth. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including the Technical Lead and Manager, to finalize design documents such as wireframes, database schemas, and pseudocode, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Design and maintain scalable, resilient application architectures, including microservices, cloud deployment strategies, and containerization using Docker.



Optimize application code for performance, security, and maintainability, conducting regular code reviews to uphold high standards. Support continuous integration and deployment processes, integrating DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, reliable releases.

Manage technical debt effectively, implementing performance improvements and resource optimization strategies. Execute time-bound Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) utilizing open-source frameworks and diverse tech stacks to validate innovative solutions rapidly. Ensure production environments are monitored, scalable, and resource-efficient, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance and uptime.
