Hirely
is recruiting on behalf of one of the hiring partners for a
remote Backend Java Developer opportunity
supporting projects focused on training and improving next-generation AI systems. You’ll apply your backend engineering expertise to real-world software development and contribute high-quality technical work used to improve AI capabilities.

What You’ll Do:
- You’ll design and develop scalable backend systems using
Java and Spring Boot
, build and maintain
microservices
, troubleshoot and optimize backend applications, and contribute to code reviews and technical decisions.
- You’ll also work with REST APIs, improve system performance and reliability, and collaborate with distributed engineering teams.

Who We’re Looking For:
- Ideal candidates have solid professional experience with
Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
, along with a solid understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, data structures, and clean coding practices.
- Experience with
AWS,



Azure, Google Cloud, distributed systems, or high-availability applications
is a plus. Previous AI experience is
not required
.

Compensation & Commitment:
- $60-$110/hour
- Fully remote
