Role Description The Product Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and improving the meetmagic.org platform to support networking, vendor collaboration, and impact-focused initiatives. In this full-time remote role, the Product Engineer will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate user needs into reliable, scalable features. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining product components, participating in product design discussions, conducting technical research and experimentation, and contributing to R&D; efforts that enhance platform performance and user experience.

The role also involves analyzing usage data, troubleshooting issues, optimizing workflows,



and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product enhancements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Product Engineering skills, with experience in building and maintaining modern web or platform-based products.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret data, diagnose issues, and make evidence-based product and engineering decisions.
- Candidates should possess Product Design and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and translate user needs into clear technical solutions.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) capabilities, including the ability to explore new technologies, test ideas, and iterate on prototypes.
- Experience with relevant programming languages, frameworks, APIs, and cloud services commonly used in product engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment with strong time-management and self-organization skills.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, product lifecycles, and collaborative tools (e.g., issue trackers, version control, documentation platforms).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in impact-driven work and building products that support community, collaboration, and social good.
