EcoRefyn Industries Private Limited is developing a hydrometallurgical facility focused on recovering non-ferrous and precious metals from waste printed circuit boards. The company is currently in a pre-construction phase, working from a rigorously validated fourteen-stage process design. EcoRefyn is building a technical team that will transform a tested concept into a fully operating plant.

Role Description The Principal Process Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Buxar District, Bihar. This position is responsible for leading process design activities, developing and optimizing hydrometallurgical circuits, and ensuring safe, efficient, and scalable operations. The role also involves establishing process control strategies, supporting commissioning and start-up, troubleshooting plant performance issues, implementing continuous improvement initiatives and shaping our test work programme - bench test work and an integrated mini-pilot .

The Principal Process

Engineer will mentor team members, contribute to technical standards, and play a key role in moving the project from test through construction to steady-state operation.

The role, in three phases

Now to month 6: Own the testwork programme. Scope and award bench test work and an integrated mini-pilot to research institutions and contract laboratories. Interrogate the results. Convert extraction curves, kinetic data and filtration rates into equipment specifications.

Months 6–18: Lead detailed engineering. Vendor selection, technical evaluation of quotations, supervision of erection and commissioning. Recruit and train the process team.

From commissioning — run the plant. Process control, metal accounting, recovery optimisation, and ownership of the flowsheet as it evolves in operation.





What we need

- 8–12 years experience in hydrometallurgy, with hands-on leaching and solid-liquid separation.
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Metallurgical, Chemical/Mineral Processing Engineering or related field.
- Experience commissioning or operating a hydromet circuit, not design-only.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering, particularly in hydrometallurgy and must be willing to tackle challenges.
- Candidates should possess demonstrated expertise in Process Design, including process modelling, mass and energy balance calculations, and equipment specification.
- Candidates should possess robust Process Control capabilities, including familiarity with control philosophies, automation systems, and safety interlocks.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to diagnose process issues, review process data, assay results, mass balance, heat balance, and quality trends to identify improvement opportunities and drive data-based optimization.
- Substantial experience in designing, scaling up, and operating chemical or metallurgical plants, preferably with hydrometallurgical or metal recovery processes.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory standards relevant to chemical processing facilities.
- Ability to work on-site in the Buxar District, Bihar collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior process engineers.

Preferred Expertise

Precious metal recovery/refining · Electrowinning or solvent extraction · E-waste or secondary materials · Familiarity with environmental compliance.

Conclusion

This greenfield project with a validated design and unmeasured feed. You will own the technical decisions rather than inherit them. Early on you will be the only technical person here, working from a district town in Bihar. The person who leads the testwork is expected to lead the plant.

Compensation: ₹12-24 LPA, incremented phase-wise, depending on experience, with relocation support.
