Desktop Support Engineer – Field / Resident Engineer Track
We are looking for Desktop Support Engineers with 1+ year of experience in IT desktop support, with positive hands-on knowledge of:
Installation, configuration and backup of user machines
Microsoft Outlook configuration and troubleshooting, including online and offline modes
Basic data backup and restoration
Troubleshooting common hardware, software, network and user-related IT issues
Windows desktop/laptop support and general end-user assistance
Role & Responsibilities
The role involves providing IT support across client locations. Engineers may be required to visit at least one and up to two sites in a day, depending on business requirements.
For the initial 3-month period, engineers will also work as relievers for Resident Engineers when they are on leave or unavailable. This exposure will allow them to understand different client environments,
build their technical skills and prepare for a transition into a Resident Engineer role.
Conveyance: Travel/conveyance expenses for field visits will be reimbursed on an actuals basis, as per company policy.
Career Progression
After completing 3 months, the engineer's technical skills, performance, client-handling ability and overall readiness will be evaluated.
Based on the assessment, suitable candidates may be promoted/transitioned to Resident Engineer positions, providing a transparent growth opportunities path within the organization.
