Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Developer with proven expertise building custom Odoo applications, modules, APIs, and integrations between Odoo and external environments.

Candidates must have strong, hands-on experience working within the Odoo framework and architecture and should have successfully built integrations connecting Odoo with external applications, SaaS platforms, databases, or services.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop custom applications and modules within Odoo.
- Build custom APIs and integration services connecting Odoo with external systems.
- Integrate Odoo with: Web applications, SaaS platforms, CRM and ERP systems, Databases, Cloud services, Custom applications, Third-party APIs
- Develop and customize Odoo modules based on business requirements.
- Work with the Odoo ORM, models, controllers, views, XML, and module architecture.
- Build REST/API endpoints and work with Odoo's available RPC/API mechanisms.
- Implement authentication, data mapping, synchronization, validation, and error handling.
- Create scheduled or event-driven data synchronization workflows.
- Develop middleware where required for complex integrations.
- Troubleshoot Odoo application, API, module, and integration issues.
- Optimize integrations for reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product, backend, and infrastructure teams.
- Maintain technical documentation for APIs, integrations, modules, and data flows.





Required Skills & Experience

- Proven professional experience developing applications within Odoo.
- Strong experience with the Odoo development framework, not just Python.
- Robust Python development skills.
- Experience with: Odoo ORM, Models, Controllers, Views, XML, Custom modules, Odoo APIs/RPC
- Demonstrated experience building custom APIs or integrations between Odoo and external applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of: REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, Authentication, Webhooks, Data synchronization
- Experience working with Odoo business objects such as contacts, products, inventory, sales, purchase, accounting, or CRM.
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with multiple Odoo versions, particularly recent Enterprise or Community editions.
- Experience with Odoo.sh, self-hosted Odoo, or cloud deployments.
- Experience integrating Odoo with custom web applications or SaaS products.
- Experience with JavaScript and Odoo frontend technologies is a plus.
- Experience with Docker, Linux, AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments.
- Experience designing middleware and event-driven integrations.

What We Are Specifically Looking For

Candidates must demonstrate meaningful professional experience working inside the Odoo ecosystem and developing integrations between Odoo and other applications or environments.

During the interview process, candidates should be prepared to explain:

- Which Odoo versions they have worked with.
- Which custom Odoo modules they have developed.
- What external applications they have integrated with Odoo.
- How the API or integration architecture was designed.
- How Odoo models and the ORM were used.
- How authentication and synchronization were handled.
- Examples of production integrations they personally developed.
