Role Description This is a full-time Lead Backend Engineer (Node.js/AWS) role based in Bengaluru, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and work-from-home days.

The Lead Backend

Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, AWS, and related technologies.

Responsibilities include leading backend architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, performing code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices in security, performance, and reliability. The role involves collaborating closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.



The engineer will also oversee deployment pipelines, monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve the backend stack and development processes.

Qualifications

- Minimum exp of 10yrs
- Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development skills, including API design, microservices, and database integration.
- Candidates should possess solid Software Development and Programming skills, with expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern development practices.
- Candidates should possess a deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Front-End Development concepts to collaborate effectively with frontend teams.
- Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS/NoSQL databases, CloudWatch) and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), automated testing, and observability/monitoring solutions.
- Proven experience leading engineering initiatives, mentoring developers, and contributing to technical roadmap and architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid, collaborative environment.
