Role Description The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for boiler and power plant-related components and services. This full-time hybrid role is based in Prayagraj, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), negotiating prices and terms, and processing purchase orders in alignment with project requirements and company policies.

The role involves close coordination with engineering, projects, and quality teams to ensure technical compliance, timely deliveries,



and cost-effective sourcing.

The Procurement

Engineer also tracks supplier performance, maintains procurement documentation, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in supplier evaluation and vendor assessment to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in managing requests for quotation (RFQ), including preparation of technical and commercial RFQs and comparison of bids.
- Candidates should possess skills in handling purchase orders, including drafting, reviewing, and monitoring PO execution and delivery schedules.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and communication abilities to interpret data, prepare reports, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Relevant skills such as basic contract knowledge, cost analysis, and familiarity with ERP/procurement software are beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred; prior experience in industrial or power-sector procurement is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to safety, compliance, and ethical procurement standards.
