Job Summary The Biomedical Engineer oversees the lifecycle of medical equipment—including procurement, installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting—while training healthcare staff on proper usage and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Equipment Maintenance &
- Calibration:

Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical devices (e.g., ventilators, patient monitors, MRI machines, hemodialysis units).

- Installation &

- Commissioning:

Supervise the installation, testing, and acceptance procedures for new biomedical technology and software.

- Safety &

- Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all equipment complies with health regulations, safety standards, and hospital accreditation guidelines (e.g., Joint Commission, ISO, local health authorities).

- Staff Training &

- Support:

Train medical staff, nurses, and technicians on proper device operation, safety precautions, and emergency protocols.

- Vendor &

- Service Management:

Coordinate with external manufacturers, service vendors,



and contractors for specialized repairs, warranties, and service agreements.

- Inventory &

- Asset Management:

Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, service histories, calibration certificates, and replacement parts.

- Incident Investigation: Investigate equipment failures or clinical incidents involving technology to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

Key Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: 1–3+ years of clinical engineering or hospital equipment maintenance experience.

- Skills: Solid analytical troubleshooting, knowledge of electrical/mechanical medical systems, familiarity with hospital safety codes, and strong communication skills for training medical staff.

Pay: ₹11,015.49 - ₹25,516.19 per month
