As an L2 Java Backend Engineer, you will work onsite at our Bangalore office. This role is designed for engineers who thrive in a collaborative, face-to-face environment, working closely with local peers and global stakeholders to build high-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities

Onsite Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, whiteboarding sessions, and collaborative problem-solving within your local engineering pod.

Development: Design and develop high-performance, scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

Architecture: Implement microservices architectures that are reliable, productive, and secure.

Advocate for engineering excellence through TDD (Test-Driven Development), automated testing, and rigorous onsite code reviews.
- Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
- Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and contribute to the local InRhythm engineering community through knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

- Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java.
- Core Skills: Deep proficiency in Core Java (Collections, Multithreading, Streams) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
- Database: Strong experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra).
- Architecture: Solid understanding of microservices, Kafka/RabbitMQ for messaging, and RESTful API design.
- Tools: Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools.
- Cloud: Experience with AWS or Azure and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is highly preferred.
