About The Role The Associate Architect - Java at Quantiphi is a pivotal role designed for experienced professionals who possess a deep understanding of enterprise Java applications and modern software development practices. This role involves engaging directly with clients to understand their technical requirements, providing consultation, and overseeing the implementation of high-quality software solutions.

The Associate

Architect will support the modernization of legacy applications, ensuring seamless upgrades to newer Java versions such as Java 17, 21, or 25, and will lead efforts in designing scalable, secure, and efficient architectures. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and stay abreast of industry trends to continuously enhance service standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment that values technical excellence, problem-solving, and leadership.

Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields,



with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in software development and architecture. Proven expertise in Java application modernization, including upgrading legacy systems, is essential.

Candidates should have extensive experience with J2EE, Spring Boot, REST and SOAP API development, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS. Proficiency with tools like Git, Maven, and JFrog is required, along with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

Experience in API integration, application deployment, and security best practices is necessary. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as familiarity with AWS services and automation tools like AWS Transform Custom (ATX), will be advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work in Agile environments, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities The Associate Architect will undertake a variety of responsibilities to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise Java projects.

Key duties include engaging with clients for project briefing, consultation, and project close-out reviews, ensuring their technical demands are accurately understood and met. The role involves supporting the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise Java applications, with a focus on modernization and scalability. The candidate will help manage customer expectations, negotiate project requirements, and assist in creating comprehensive technical documentation.

Supervising activities between internal teams and external resources to facilitate smooth workflow and timely delivery is crucial.



The role also encompasses evaluating project data for accuracy, setting project targets, and mentoring team members to elevate their technical capabilities. Staying updated with current industry practices and emerging trends is essential for continuous improvement.

Additionally, the Associate Architect will review technical demands, assist in identifying optimal methods for maintaining and utilizing delivered materials, and ensure APIs are robust and maintainable. Conducting research on new technologies and implementing best coding and architectural practices are also part of the responsibilities.
