Role Overview

We are looking for a Design & Estimation Engineer with experience in LV electrical panels and industrial automation systems . The role will be responsible for converting customer specifications, BOQs, drawings, and technical requirements into technically compliant and commercially competitive solutions.

The position requires a solid understanding of electrical engineering, panel design, component selection, costing, and estimation, along with the ability to work closely with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Review customer RFQs, technical specifications, BOQs, SLDs, drawings, and tender documents to understand project requirements.
- Prepare technical designs, SLDs, panel configurations, layouts, GA drawings, and component selections for LV and Control & Automation panels.
- Prepare detailed BOQs/BOMs and project cost estimates ,



covering switchgear, automation hardware, enclosures, busbars, wiring, accessories, bought-out items, and other project requirements.
- Develop technically compliant and cost-competitive solutions in line with customer specifications and applicable standards.
- Select and size electrical and automation components including ACBs, MCCBs, contactors, protection devices, VFDs, soft starters, PLCs, HMIs, Remote I/O, power supplies, communication equipment, and associated accessories .
- Evaluate alternative makes and technical configurations to optimize cost, performance, availability, and compliance .
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical clarifications, quotations, pricing, and commercial negotiations .
- Support the Sales team in preparing technical-commercial proposals, deviations, clarifications, and tender submissions .
- Participate in customer discussions and technical meetings where required to clarify requirements and finalize solutions.
- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Production, and Project teams to ensure smooth handover of awarded projects from estimation to execution.
- Maintain and continuously improve costing databases, standard BOQs, component libraries, and estimation benchmarks .
- Ensure designs and proposals comply with relevant electrical standards, customer specifications, and Elezon engineering practices.





Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in LV panel design, electrical estimation, industrial automation, panel manufacturing, or system integration .
- Strong understanding of PCC, MCC, APFC, VFD, PLC/Control, Remote I/O and other LV/automation panels .
- Good knowledge of electrical switchgear, protection systems, control components, automation hardware, and panel accessories.
- Ability to interpret SLDs, electrical schematics, GA drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs .
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel for costing and estimation; working knowledge of AutoCAD and ERP/estimation tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant standards, particularly IEC 61439 , and standard panel engineering practices will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail, with a commercial mindset towards value engineering and cost optimization .
- Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Project teams.

Preferred Profile Candidates with prior experience working with a panel builder, industrial automation system integrator, electrical EPC company, or electrical OEM will be preferred.

Experience with Schneider Electric products and automation platforms will be an added advantage.
