nnJob Role : Design Lead – Solar (Civil / Structural)

nReports to (Job – Role) : Section Head - Solar

nReportee (Job – Role) : Design Engineer, Draughts Person

nMinimum Qualification : B.E. / B. Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering

n Experience : 7–10 years (Must have experience in design aspects of Solar

n PV Power Plants / Power Distribution Projects) & BESS

nnObjective: As Design Lead (Civil / Structural), the person shall be capable of reviewing &

n executing Engineering Activities of Civil/Structural Engineering of Solar PV Power Plants & BESS.

n He / She shall facilitate the modellers in development of BIM 3D Model for PV Solar Power

n plants & BESS. In addition, she / he has to coordinate with other departments including Interdepartmental

nchecks covering Electrical, Instrumentation, MEP and others.

nThe Design Lead (Civil/Structural ) shall be required to provide support for the engineering activities covering the full cycle of works from pre-bid engineering to commissioning and O& M and to extend support to site team when ever required.

nShe / He shall lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons to manage the

nEngineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of

nEngineering.

nnKey Responsibilities:

n• Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents

n• Ensure deliveries are aligned to Project Schedule

n• Review drawings by Design Engineers & Draughts Persons. Checking of design &

nsizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from

nthe client

n• Review of Vendor deliverables pertaining to Engineering





n• Capable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on time

n• Estimate and Plan man-hour requirements

n• Review BOQ and submit to contracts team and providing technical clarifications

n• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks

n• Provide support & clarifications to the Site Execution team

n• Check pre-award evaluation of vendors (w.r.t. technical specifications requirement of

nthe client) and forward the validation document to Supply Chain Management

n• Inspect equipment from the finalized vendor after submission of validation document

nof the vendor

n• Clarify issues w.r.t. the design & requirements of the client to the Site Execution Team

n• Collect inputs for project details (Soil report, boundary coordinates, Topo Survey etc.)

n• Coordinating with Operations team and informing Design specifications for obtaining

napproval

n• Collect inputs for project details (General Arrangement Drawings) from Vendors

n• Provide support to Electrical DC, AC & Instrumentation for reviewing Vendor

ndrawings

n• Submit requirement of man-hours for undertaking & reviewing of design & drawings

nof the project

n• Design deliverables like Module mounting structure design, GA Drawing, Control

nroom, Inverter room civil & Structural drawings & document, Solar Plant Civil

ninfrastructure drawings and design.

nnTechnical Expertise





n Design Lead shall have technical expertise in Engineering activities for civil & structural

n covering control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations,

n inverter rooms, grading, roads and drainage, outdoor steel structures and miscellaneous works

n related to the Solar Power Plant. Design Lead shall be able to review Vendor engineering

n documents with respect to Civil & Structural design & BESS. The Design Lead (Civil / Structural) is required to understand and interpret the contractual technical requirements and facilitate the

n Project Teams as and when required.
