About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Technical Architect - Data to join our energetic team in Mumbai or Bangalore. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms on AWS, focusing on Lakehouse architectures and data lake solutions. Your expertise will guide the development of scalable, high-performance data systems that meet complex business requirements.

You will lead technical initiatives, provide strategic architectural guidance, and mentor engineering teams to ensure best practices are followed. Collaboration with business stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional teams will be crucial to delivering innovative data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of experience in designing and deploying large-scale data platforms on cloud environments, particularly AWS. A strong background in data engineering, architecture, and hands-on development is essential.





Certifications such as AWS Solution Architect (Associate/Professional) or AWS Data Engineer are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in SQL, Spark/PySpark, Python, and modern data architecture principles.

Experience leading geographically distributed teams, conducting code and architecture reviews, and implementing best practices in data engineering is highly desirable. A solid understanding of security, networking, scalability, and cost optimization within AWS is required, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-scale AWS data platforms, including Lakehouse and Data Lake solutions.
- Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines for batch and streaming data processing using AWS native services such as EMR, Glue, Athena, and Lambda.
- Design and optimize Lakehouse architectures leveraging Apache Iceberg to ensure high performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement data modeling, partitioning strategies, and file formats to support analytics and data science initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership in selecting appropriate technologies, evaluating architectural trade-offs, and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering excellence across projects.




- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Implement security and governance best practices, including IAM policies, data encryption, and compliance measures.
- Design orchestration workflows utilizing Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions to automate data pipelines and processes.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data platform performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
