Position Overview

Cerberus is seeking a Loan Servicing Associate to join the Loan Servicing team in Mumbai. This role will primarily support Administrative Agency functions within the broader Loan Operations group. The position will involve managing day-to-day loan servicing activities, supporting loan lifecycle events, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and assisting with reconciliations and operational reporting.

The role will focus on servicing loans agented by Cerberus Business Finance Agency, LLC and originated by the middle market lending group. The selected candidate will also receive training across other areas of Loan Operations and may take on additional responsibilities as business requirements evolve.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

- Support Administrative Agency functions, including processing contract rollovers, distributing notices, booking fees, setting up new assets, and performing daily cash reconciliations.
- Service broadly syndicated loans, including transactions involving multiple lenders.
- Process loan lifecycle activities, including booking new transactions, principal payments, interest rollovers, audit confirmations,



and other related servicing activities.
- Read, interpret, and understand credit agreements and ancillary legal documentation to support accurate loan servicing.
- Work closely with fund administrators to reconcile positions, P&L;, and cash breaks.
- Perform daily book versus broker cash reconciliations, including use of IntelliMatch where applicable.
- Coordinate with deal professionals, auditors, lenders, trustees, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure high standards of service throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Support analysis of P&L;, including realized and unrealized calculations, where required.
- Crosstrain across different aspects of loan operations beyond agency functions, depending on business needs.

Key Requirements

- Junior to early mid-level candidate with relevant experience in Loan Operations, Loan Servicing, Fund Operations, or Accounting. The previously used detailed version referenced 3 to 5 years of experience in Loan Operations and/or Accounting.
- Strong understanding of loan lifecycle events, including rollovers, payments, fee booking, asset setup, and reconciliations.
- Familiarity with syndicated loans, administrative agency processes, or middle market lending operations will be preferred.
- Experience with Wall Street Office, Visual Portfolio Manager, or IntelliMatch will be helpful but is not mandatory.
- Understanding of PIK loans will be an added advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external parties.
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookups, if statements, and pivot tables.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage workload effectively during high-volume periods such as month-end.
