Based in Surat, Gujarat, the team serves students across the globe through online counseling and support.

Role Description The Associate Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat. This position involves working directly with students to guide them through the college admissions process, including goal-setting, profile building, academic and extracurricular planning, and application strategy.

The Associate

Counselor will help students draft and refine application essays, prepare for interviews, and understand admission requirements for various international destinations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, maintaining accurate student records, coordinating timelines and tasks, and communicating regularly with students and families. The role also includes supporting workshops, webinars,



and other outreach activities, and collaborating with senior counselors to continually improve counseling methods and resources.

Qualifications

- Solid counseling and mentoring abilities, with a genuine interest in supporting student growth and well-being.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to review and improve student essays and application materials.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple students, deadlines, and application cycles effectively.
- Analytical and research skills to stay updated on international college admissions trends, requirements, and opportunities.
- Comfort with digital tools and online platforms for counseling, documentation, and communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, communications, or a related field; a master’s degree or international education experience is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, admissions, teaching, or student services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small, mission-driven team and maintain a professional, inclusive, and non-judgmental approach to all students.
