About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant specializing in UK Personal Tax to join our dynamic team. This role is primarily remote, offering flexibility to work from home while aligning with UK time zones as per client requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in UK personal tax, with at least one year dedicated to reviewing tax returns. You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and delivering accurate tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax legislation and HMRC regulations. Additionally, you will play a key role in guiding junior team members, maintaining management information systems, and supporting the scaling of our UK Personal Tax service line through best practices and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of UK Personal Tax experience, with at least 1 year in reviewing tax returns.
- Proficiency in handling UK personal self-assessment tax returns, rental accounts, and sole trade accounts.
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation, HMRC practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with UK tax software such as CCH, Digita, IRIS, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in maintaining MIS and preparing detailed tax computations.
- Knowledge of best practices for tax return preparation and review processes.
- Flexibility to work in shifts from 11 am to 8 pm or 12 pm to 9 pm as per business needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and deliver UK personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.
- Review tax computations, entries, and supporting documentation for correctness and completeness.
- Guide and mentor junior team members on tax return processes and best practices.
- Maintain and update MIS records related to tax filings and client information.
- Stay updated with UK tax laws,
HMRC practices, and incorporate changes into work processes.
- Support the scaling of the UK Personal Tax service line by sharing knowledge and implementing best practices.
- Ensure timely completion of all assigned files and maintain high-quality standards.
- Assist in resolving complex tax issues and liaise with clients or HMRC as needed.
- Work independently in a remote setting or office environment, aligning work hours with UK time zones when required.
