Summary
Frontend Developer with 3+ years of experience building production web applications using React and TypeScript, including at least 1 year of architecture-level ownership across state design, module boundaries, build tooling, and testing strategy. This role supports the Agile Service Options (DSO) platform and involves developing and maintaining two React 19 and TypeScript applications: an authoring SPA and a delivery application that is distributed as both an SPA and an embeddable Web Component. The ideal candidate is passionate about type safety, component composition, accessible design-system implementation, and building scalable, testable user experiences.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain feature modules within a convention-driven architecture, including `atoms/`, `components/`, `hooks/`, `fakers/`, Storybook stories, and co-located styles.
- Develop React 19 components using strict TypeScript standards, including explicit type imports and strong typing practices.
- Implement lazy-loaded and code-split routes with authorization controls based on user entitlements.
- Build complex, data-intensive user interfaces, including paginated and filterable tables, bulk-selection workflows, confirmation-based destructive actions, toast notifications, unsaved-change protection, and virtualized data views where appropriate.
- Design and maintain application state using Jotai atoms for authoring applications and Zustand for delivery applications.




- Consume OpenAPI-generated API clients from versioned specifications while maintaining alignment with generated models and contracts.
- Implement standardized request handling, including bearer-token injection, request cancellation using AbortSignal, retry and backoff strategies, and centralized API error processing.
- Develop solutions exclusively using approved design-system components, utility classes, and design tokens.
- Collaborate across the full feature lifecycle from API integration through UI implementation, testing, CI/CD, and application release processes.
- Create and maintain Storybook stories and interaction tests using MSW-mocked APIs and browser-based validation.

Experience Requirements

- 3+ years of professional experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Minimum 1 year of experience making architecture-level decisions involving application state design, module organization, build tooling, and testing strategies.
- Experience developing React 19 applications and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
- Experience building and maintaining Web Components for integration into host applications.
- Experience working with Vite, React Router 7, react-hook-form, Storybook, and MSW.




- Experience implementing entitlement-based authorization and authentication workflows using Azure Entra (MSAL).
- Experience working with OpenAPI-generated, strongly typed API clients.
- Experience designing scalable frontend state-management solutions using Jotai and Zustand.
- Experience implementing route-level authorization, code splitting, and lazy loading.
- Experience building accessible, data-rich user interfaces and reusable component architectures.
- Experience working within strict linting, formatting, and type-validation standards.
- Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and application release processes.
