Role Description The MEP Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mahadeva Kodigehalli, responsible for coordinating and executing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering activities for cleanroom and related projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing design drawings, preparing MEP layouts, and ensuring integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within project specifications and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising site execution, coordinating with contractors and vendors, monitoring installation quality, and resolving technical issues during construction. The MEP Project Engineer will track project progress, support scheduling and resource planning, participate in site meetings, and provide regular status updates to project managers and stakeholders. The position also includes assisting in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems, while maintaining adherence to safety standards and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration in cleanroom or similar controlled environments.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including system design, equipment selection, and understanding of HVAC and ventilation principles.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and safety standards.
- Candidates should possess Plumbing skills related to piping layouts, water distribution, drainage, and associated codes.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including scheduling, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Experience in cleanroom, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or similar industrial projects is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards, and proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Measure materials and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from MEP drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on site.
