Job Description: Big Temple International School is seeking a compassionate and qualified Special Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an inclusive learning environment that meets the educational needs of students with special requirements. You will collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and parents to design Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure the holistic development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Modify the general education curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and other special needs.
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support students in mainstream classrooms.
- Conduct assessments to monitor students’ progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
- Provide individualized instruction, behavior management strategies, and counseling support to students.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Provide training and guidance to classroom teachers regarding best practices for inclusive education.
- Use specialized teaching aids and assistive technology to support learning.
- Maintain detailed records of students’ progress and provide regular feedback to parents and school administration.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE and government regulations related to inclusive education and special needs support.

Required Qualifications:





- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (B.Ed. Special Education) from a recognized institution with RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration.
- OR Diploma in Special Education (D.Ed. Special Education) with RCI registration.
- OR B.Ed. with Postgraduate Diploma in Special Education (PGPDSE).
- Prior experience working with children with special needs in an educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of various disabilities such as learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities.
- Experience in creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Familiarity with inclusive education policies and the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with special needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team (teachers, counselors, and administrators).
- Proficient in the use of assistive technology and teaching aids designed for students with special needs.
- Solid organizational and record-keeping skills.

Preferred Experience:

- At least 2-3 years of experience in teaching or working as a special educator in a school setting.
- Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and inclusive education guidelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
