Role Overview

We are seeking a high-energy purchasing expert with an engineering background to drive cost-reduction initiatives for our clients. This is a "hands-on" consulting role where you will be responsible for the entire purchasing cycle—from technical sourcing to final delivery.

We need a candidate who is assertive, dynamic, and thrives under pressure. You will not be micromanaged; we expect you to own the relationship with vendors and ensure our customers receive maximum value through aggressive negotiation and technical validation.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Purchasing Activity

- Manage the complete procurement lifecycle for diverse engineering components and services.
- Convert customer requirements into technical RFQs and distribute them to a qualified vendor base.
- Conduct detailed technical and commercial evaluations of all incoming bids.
- Use the eAuction tool and complete the purchasing process

2. Aggressive Vendor Negotiation

- Lead direct negotiations with suppliers to achieve targeted cost-reduction benchmarks.
- Challenge vendor pricing structures by leveraging your engineering knowledge of materials and processes.
- Negotiate favourable payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality SLAs.
- Constantly scout and vet current vendors to maintain a competitive and high-performing supply chain.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management





- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding procurement status and savings achieved.
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams to understand technical specifications and identify alternative parts or materials.
- Provide regular, concise updates to customers on project milestones and lead-time risks.

4. Analytical Execution

- Use Excel to create side-by-side commercial comparisons of vendor quotes.
- Analyse price trends and lead-time data to provide actionable insights.
- Maintain 100% accuracy in documentation, including contracts, price lists, and compliance records.

Education

B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Industrial Engineering).

Experience

1–3 years in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or consulting setup.

Excel Skills

Proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex data formatting.

Personality

Dynamic, assertive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Performance Expectations

- Autonomy: You are expected to manage your desk and your vendor base independently.
- Assertiveness: You should be comfortable pushing back on vendors and holding your ground during intense negotiations.
- Precision: High attention to detail in technical specs and commercial numbers to ensure no errors in the procurement process.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
