Designation: Senior OT Technician

Location : VG Hospital, Coimbatore (Mettupalayam road, Thudiyalur)

Qualification: Dip/B.Sc Operation Theatre Technology, GNM/B.sc Nursing

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience

Job responsibilities:

- Assist the surgical team in preparing the Operating Theatre before every procedure.
- Perform surgical hand scrub and maintain strict aseptic technique throughout the procedure.
- Prepare and arrange all required surgical instruments, sterile trays, sutures, consumables, and implants as per the procedure.
- Perform instrument and sponge counts before, during, and after surgery in coordination with the circulating staff.
- Assist the surgeon by passing instruments, sutures, and other required materials efficiently during the procedure.
- Anticipate the surgeon’s requirements and ensure timely availability of instruments and consumables.
- Maintain the sterile field and immediately report any breach in sterility to the concerned team.




- Assist in the preparation and handling of specialized instruments for different surgical procedures.
- Ensure proper identification, handling, and secure transfer of specimens collected during surgery.
- Maintain proper arrangement and accountability of surgical instruments throughout the procedure.
- Assist with safe handling and care of delicate surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure used instruments are segregated, counted, and handed over appropriately for cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization.
- Follow hospital infection-control policies, OT protocols, and NABH standards at all times.
- Maintain required OT documentation, including instrument counts, surgical checklists, and other assigned records.
- Coordinate effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other OT staff to ensure smooth and safe conduct of surgical procedures.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
