Wanted Vendor Followup

We are looking for a Design Engineer – Vendor Follow-Up who has strong knowledge of mechanical designing and can effectively coordinate with vendors for machine development and manufacturing as per company-provided drawings and specifications.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding design requirements, sharing drawings with vendors, monitoring machine manufacturing progress, and ensuring the final machine is developed as per approved designs and required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand company machine designs, engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
- Coordinate and follow up with vendors for machine manufacturing and development.
- Share approved drawings, specifications and technical details with vendors.
- Regularly follow up with vendors regarding machine manufacturing status, progress and delivery schedules.
- Clarify design-related queries raised by vendors.
- Coordinate with the internal Design, Production and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor whether the machine is being manufactured as per the approved company drawing and specifications.
- Track vendor commitments, timelines and pending activities.
- Conduct regular vendor follow-ups through calls,



emails and meetings.
- Coordinate for inspection, trials, modifications and corrections required in the machine.
- Identify delays or deviations and report them to the concerned manager.
- Maintain proper records of vendor communication, machine status and pending actions.
- Ensure timely completion and delivery of machines as per company requirements.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of mechanical designing is essential.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo or similar design software.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of machine components and manufacturing processes.
- Good technical communication and vendor coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify design or manufacturing deviations.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple vendors and internal departments.
