Planning Engineer – Transmission Line Tower Manufacturing

Department: Production Planning & Control (PPC)

Experience needed - 3-5 years in TLT

Salary fixed = 25k - 35k

Key Responsibilities

- Production Planning

Review customer drawings, BOM (Bill of Material) and technical specifications.

Prepare master production plan as per project schedule and customer priorities.

Plan fabrication activities for Towers, W-Beams and associated components.

Monitor daily, weekly and monthly production targets.

- Material Planning

Review BOM and calculate Raw Material (RM) requirements.

Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely material availability.

Monitor inventory levels and prevent material shortages.

- ERP Planning

Prepare cutting plans in Lighthouse ERP.

Generate and release Job Cards in Lighthouse ERP.

Maintain routing, process stages and production status in ERP.

Ensure data accuracy for material consumption and production transactions.

- Production Coordination

Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores and Dispatch teams.

Resolve production bottlenecks related to material, manpower and machine availability.

Ensure smooth workflow from cutting to final dispatch.

- Customer & Project Monitoring

Prepare and update Daily Progress Reports (DPR)



for customers.

Track project milestones and ensure on-time completion.

Provide project status updates to management and customers.

- Inventory & Material Control

Monitor material utilization and reduce wastage.

Track scrap generation and improve material yield.

Ensure timely issuance of materials to production.

- Dispatch Planning

Plan dispatch quantities based on production completion and customer priorities.

Coordinate with logistics for timely deliveries.

Ensure dispatch documentation is completed accurately.

- Reporting & MIS

Prepare daily production reports.

Prepare weekly and monthly planning MIS.

Monitor KPIs such as Production Achievement, Dispatch, RM Availability, WIP and OTIF (On-Time In-Full).
