Overview

We are looking for a Telecom / ICT / Security Systems Design Engineer to deliver concept, preliminary and detailed design packages for infrastructure and industrial projects, with mandatory Middle East project exposure and experience in Oil & Gas and/or Nuclear project environments.

Your role

- Prepare concept, preliminary and detailed design deliverables for ICT, telecoms, security, BMS communication and network systems.
- Develop specifications, design reports, system block diagrams, network topology drawings, schematics, layouts, rack/cabinet drawings, cable schedules, termination schedules, interconnection drawings, equipment schedules and BOQs.
- Design CCTV/VMS, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, PAVA/PAGA, structured cabling, fibre optic networks, LAN/WAN/IP networks, wireless, telephony, vehicle barriers, SCADA/BMS communications and weather monitoring systems.
- Prepare or contribute to security threat studies, security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and security design basis reports.
- Carry out design checks such as bandwidth, network capacity, fibre loss, cabinet sizing and connectivity checks.
- Coordinate design inputs with civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, process and operations teams.
- Support vendor/OEM technical clarifications, equipment selection, material submissions, FAT/IFAT/SAT, testing, commissioning and handover documentation.
- Ensure design outputs comply with client requirements, project specifications, applicable standards, cybersecurity principles and quality procedures.

About you

Experience & Education

- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications,



Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in ICT, telecoms, ELV or security systems design.
- Experience delivering concept through detailed design packages.
- Middle East project experience is mandatory.
- Oil & Gas and/or Nuclear project experience is mandatory.
- Experience in consultancy, EPC, system integrator or contractor design environment.

Must-Have Technical Skills

- CCTV/VMS, Access Control, Intruder Alarm and PAVA/PAGA design.
- Structured cabling, fibre optic networks and LAN/WAN/IP network design.
- BMS design coordination and BMS communication network integration.
- Strong networking knowledge including IP addressing, network architecture, switches, routers, VLANs and system connectivity.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles for ICT, telecoms, security, BMS, SCADA and OT networks.
- Experience preparing security threat studies, security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments or security design basis reports.
- Preparation of drawings, specifications, BOQs, cable schedules, termination schedules and equipment schedules.
- Working knowledge of TIA, BICSI, NEC, IEC and project/client specifications.




- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio and Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills

- SCADA communication networks, weather monitoring systems and control room communication systems.
- UK, APAC or Canada project delivery exposure.
- Revit, Navisworks or Bluebeam exposure.
- CCNA, CCNP, RCDD, PSP or relevant manufacturer certifications.
