Role description
Position Summary
- INDUS is seeking a Manager - Procurement and Supplier Enablement to manage end-to-end procurement activities for India operations. Procurement Operations Manager will be responsible for the administrative activities required to support the SAP Ariba Source to Pay (S2P) solution components. This role provides thought leadership in how best to utilize the firm’s SAP Ariba platform, focusing on user access, configuration, workflow, reporting, and data integrity. This position will manage the daily end to end procurement process within Ariba and provide transactional procurement support required of the digital procurement process. The position will work regularly with SAP Ariba to implement changes to the configuration to optimize its deployment within the firm, test new configurations, manage any integrations into new systems, and deploy changes that will deliver value for the firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide variety of both products and services-related sourcing and procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily end to end procurement process within SAP Ariba system..
- Provide thought leadership to SSPS (SAP Ariba Source to Pay (S2P) solution) team and other firm departments about leveraging existing functionality and developing current features and benefits to support business needs.
- Lead firm activities related to audits that relate to use of SAP system and develop and provide evidence of controls to auditors.
- Function as Ariba subject-matter expert and training lead for assigned users and vendors.
- Manage users, groups, roles, permissions, templates, and vendor set-up and onboarding.
- Serve as single point of contact for internal users and vendors on use of the firm’s Ariba system functionality.
- Communicate and work with Ariba support and internal IT to resolve system and/or data related issues.
- Log enhancement requests for key functionality not currently available in the product.
- Provide first level Ariba support to end users and manage the procurement mailbox to address inquiries.
- Troubleshoot data and workflow issues.
- Provide guidance on procurement processes across the firm and facilitate completion of sound buying practices.
- Analyze existing systems/processes to determine more efficient processing methods or to identify errors.
- Accountable for catalog and item management, item creation, and overall data maintenance in Ariba.
- Able to handle defect tracking process, issue resolution, and escalation procedures.
- Evaluate technical changes required to accommodate future requirements / changes in business process.
- Enforce system controls in accordance with Grant Thornton’s policies and procedures.
- Communicate Ariba roadmap and features for strategic and operational end user enhancements to Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Services.
- Support any technical requirements and integration requirements of new firm entities and new ERP system.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least five years of experience in an enterprise procurement system role, SAP Ariba strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with integrations of procurement systems to ERP and other systems.
- Knowledge of the procurement lifecycle and professional procurement best practices.
- Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing,
and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
Education: Any graduate full time, prefered MBA, PG Diploma, or specialized qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Finance, or Contract Management.
Certifications: Preferred but not mandatory - SAP Ariba learning/certification, SAP MM, or other recognized procurement/supply chain certification.
Experience : Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, supplier enablement, P2P/procurement operations, or shared services procurement.
