About the Role:
We're hiring a Senior Manager – SEO to own organic growth at Scalup. This is not a legacy SEO role while 70% of the mandate is classic technical, on-page and off-page SEO, the other 30% is forward-looking: making sure our brand shows up and gets cited correctly in AI-driven answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and similar) through Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). You'll be the single owner of how Scalup is discovered on search engines and on the AI surfaces that are quickly becoming the recent front door to the internet.

Key Responsibilities - Traditional SEO (70%):
• Strategy & Ownership: Own the end-to-end SEO strategy and roadmap — technical, on-page, and off-page — for all Scalup properties.
• Technical SEO: Lead technical SEO audits: crawlability, indexation, site speed (Core Web Vitals), structured data, canonicalization,



and mobile-first health.
• Content & Keywords: Drive keyword research, content gap analysis, and search-intent mapping in partnership with the content team.
• Off-Page SEO: Build and execute scalable, white-hat link-building and digital PR programs to grow domain authority.
• Analytics & Reporting: Own organic search KPIs — rankings, organic traffic, CTR, and conversions — and report on them to leadership monthly.
• Tooling: Manage SEO tools (GSC, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.) and keep the team current on Google algorithm updates.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with content, design, product, and engineering to embed SEO best practices into every new page, feature, and campaign.
