Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced AS400 (IBM i) Test Engineer with solid expertise in testing business applications running on the IBM i platform. The candidate should have hands-on experience in functional, integration, system, regression, batch, and data validation testing in AS400 environments.
Key Responsibilities

Design and execute Functional, Integration, System, and Regression test cases.
Validate AS400 / IBM i applications built using RPG/RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2/400.
Perform batch job testing, scheduler validation, restart/recovery testing, and reconciliation testing.
Validate interfaces, file transfers, and end-to-end business processes.
Execute data validation and reconciliation activities across integrated systems.
Log, track,



and retest defects using defect management tools.
Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), migration testing, and production validation activities.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.

Required Skills

Experience testing legacy AS400 applications.
Experience in AMS, Transition, Migration, or Modernization programs.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Understanding of AS400 architecture, libraries, jobs, subsystems, and DB2/400 data structures.
