Engagement: Fixed-term/contract POC assignment; hybrid with secure access to the approved delivery workplace
Indicative allocation: 100% from mobilisation through Week 5; approximately 30% thereafter for stabilisation, validation and closure
Reports to / works with: Product / POC Lead; technical counterpart to Client IT and cybersecurity
Role purpose
Own the POC technical solution and engineering integrity. Convert the approved pilot boundary into a secure, non-intrusive, scalable architecture that ingests airport and environmental data, produces traceable intelligence, and supports role-based dashboards and evidence without disrupting operational systems.
Key responsibilities
•Lead solution architecture across presentation, API, domain services, event processing, data platform, integration/edge and security layers.
•Define the minimum POC architecture and consciously defer enterprise-scale features that are not
required to prove the agreed value loop.
•Design CLIENT-approved integration patterns for REST APIs, database views, secure file exchange, batch feeds and streaming sources.
•Establish the canonical aviation domain model for flights, movements, stands, aircraft, engines,
infrastructure events, sensors, GIS objects and environmental outputs.
•Own technical decisions for deployment topology, tenant isolation, RBAC/ABAC, secrets, encryption,
audit logging, observability, backup and environment controls.
•Specify data lineage and explainability requirements so calculations can be traced to source category, timestamp, method, assumptions and confidence level.
•Set coding standards, API/event contracts, review gates, CI/CD practices and AI-assisted engineering guardrails.
•Review and approve generated code, infrastructure, tests and technical documentation; remain
accountable for correctness and security.
•Lead integration, performance, access-control and failure-mode reviews; resolve cross-workstream
technical blockers.
