- Drawings and Models: Build 3D models and generate isometric, orthographic, and spool fabrication drawings.
- Material Management: Create accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO) for procurement and shop production.
- System Coordination: Check for clashes with structural, electrical, or mechanical equipment layouts.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all layouts meet industry safety standards, plant rules, and piping class specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Literacy: Proficient in CAD software like AutoCAD, PDMS, or SmartPlant.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing shop practices, pipe fittings, and welding symbols.
- Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of drafting or shop detailing experience in an industrial manufacturing or plant workplace.
