Job Title: Firewall Security Engineer

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: Minimum 5–7 years

Qualification

B.E/B.Tech/MCA with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
OR BCA/BSc-IT with minimum 7 years of relevant experience

Certifications Required

Must possess CEH, CHFI, GSEC, GMON, ITIL (at least one mandatory)
OEM certification in at least one firewall technology (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced L2 Firewall Security Engineer to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) at client location. The candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting perimeter security devices, including Checkpoint, Palo Alto, WAF, and Fortinet firewalls.



This role requires advanced technical knowledge of firewall rule configurations, threat mitigation, and hands-on operational support for security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage Checkpoint, Palo Alto, WAF, and Fortinet firewall devices in a SOC environment.
Review and implement firewall rules and access control policies.
Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across security perimeter devices.
Perform routine health checks, version upgrades, and patch management on firewall devices.
Analyze and respond to firewall logs and alerts to identify and mitigate threats.
Act on threat intelligence and advisories related to network and perimeter security.
Collaborate with L1 and L3 teams to escalate and resolve complex firewall issues.
Participate in firewall change management process, including request validations and impact assessments.
Work with audit and compliance
