Java or Android Technical Project Manager

Requirements

Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, including at least 4+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Backend/Cloud Expertise: Proven track record of shipping enterprise-grade Java Spring Boot microservices deployed on AWS.

Frontend/Mobile Exposure: Conceptual or hands-on experience guiding teams developing with Angular and mobile tech stacks (Kotlin/Android/iOS).

Integration Background (valuable to have) : Direct experience architecting or managing integrations with Salesforce and experience working with headless CMS platforms (like Contentful, Strapi, or Adobe Experience Manager) where content is delivered via API.

Tools: Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Git workflows, and CI/CD tools,

Cloud: AWS.

DevOps: Familiarity with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and automated testing pipelines to speed up deployment

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Governance: Drive technical roadmap execution, ensuring architectural alignment across the web, mobile, backend, and cloud infrastructure teams.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and unblock cross-functional agile teams of engineers, QA, and DevOps specialists.

Integration Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for external platform vendors (Salesforce, CMS), ensuring robust API contracts, data syncs, and security compliance.

Program Delivery: Partner with Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical specs, manage sprint velocity, and ensure on-time, high-quality releases.

Cloud & DevOps Oversight: Oversee the scalability, security, and cost-efficiency of the AWS cloud infrastructure, advocating for continuous integration and automated deployment best practices.
