Position Overview:
This is a permanent position for an experienced Senior Network Modeller with a minimum of 5 years’ UK experience of modelling with InfoWorks ICM and a proven background in hydraulic modelling. The successful candidate will be at or near Chartered Status and will have an eagerness to become involved in and at the leading edge of integrated hydraulic modelling of sewers and urban watercourses to identify and assess the urban flood risk.
This is a junior management position, and the successful candidate will be expected to manage and lead a small team of modellers and technicians. The successful candidate will undertake a wide-ranging role for multiple clients, will gain experience in team management and also in relation to the financial control of projects.
It is expected that the post holder will take an active role in urban drainage activities nationally,
the development of innovative ideas and participate in R&D; projects both internally and externally.
Most of the project work undertaken by the company uses state-of-the-art computer programs and involves the computer modelling of drainage and river systems and in particular flooding in urban areas. This work relies heavily on complex data and accuracy is of paramount importance. The company has framework agreements with a number of water and sewerage companies.
The main focus of the role will be working on Integrated Catchment Models, and the person will be responsible for developing and managing a team of Hydraulic Modellers and other technical staff in order to provide an exemplary service to established and new Clients. From time to time there will be a need to make site visits and undertake surveys.
The successful candidate will be required to build positive relationships with Clients in both the public and private sectors.
