Role Overview
The WebFOCUS Platform Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, security, performance, and ongoing maintenance of the organization's WebFOCUS Business Intelligence environment (TIBCO/Information Builders WebFOCUS). This role ensures the platform remains reliable, secure, and performant to support reporting, dashboards, and analytics for business users across the organization.





Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and upgrade WebFOCUS components, including the Reporting Server, App Studio/Developer Studio, Business User Edition, and related middleware (Tomcat/WebSphere/WebLogic, Java)
Manage user accounts, groups, roles, and security profiles through WebFOCUS Security Center, including integration with LDAP/Active Directory and single sign-on (SSO)
Configure and maintain data adapters/connections to relational databases, data warehouses, and other data sources
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and tune the platform for optimal resource utilization
Manage repository content, including migration of reports, procedures, and metadata between development, test, and production environments
Schedule and monitor batch jobs, report distribution, and ReportCaster activities
Apply patches, hotfixes, and version upgrades, including testing in non-prod
