"We are seeking a Data Engineer (GCP) with 3+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable data models that support analytics, reporting, and data integration needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient logical and physical data models.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data systems.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into data structures and relationships.

Develop data models for data warehouses, data marts, and operational databases.

Ensure data consistency, integrity, and governance across systems.

Collaborate with data engineering and ETL teams to implement models in data pipelines.

Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and storage efficiency.

Maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and documentation.

Perform impact analysis for schema changes and system enhancements.





Support data quality initiatives and enforce data modeling standards.

Participate in data architecture discussions and contribute to best practices.

Required Skills

Robust understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, and physical models).

Experience with relational databases and schema design.

Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.

Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts including star schema and snowflake schema.

Understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines.

Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with big data ecosystems like Spark, Hive, or Snowflake.
Knowledge of data lake and lakehouse architectures.
Experience working with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
