Position: EAL Teacher (PYP & MYP)

Role Summary
The EAL Teacher will support the development of English language proficiency among pupils in the whole school (PYP & MYP). This full-time role focuses on delivering effective language instruction, supporting academic progress, and building pupils’ confidence in communication and literacy within an inclusive, inquiry-based learning environment.

Location: King's College UK, Gurugram, Sector 59, Bandhwari, Gurugram, Haryana 122102

Start Date: January 2027

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver EAL lessons aligned with the IB PYP & MYP framework.
Support pupils in developing English language, literacy, and communication skills.




Collaborate with EAL team and the subject teachers to support language development across the curriculum.
Assess, monitor, and document pupil progress.
Develop differentiated learning resources to meet individual pupil needs.
Promote the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning (ATL).
Participate in school events, meetings, and career development.

Essential Requirements
Prior experience teaching EAL in an IB School is essential.
Completion of an IB workshop is essential.
Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent).
TEFL/TESOL certification is essential.
Strong understanding of the IB framework and inquiry-based learning.
Experience supporting multilingual learners.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
