Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections, repairs, and maintenance of diesel engines and mechanical systems in buses.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to engines, transmissions, clutches, and brake systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance vehicle reliability and reduce operational downtime.
- Overhaul and replace worn or damaged components, including pistons, bearings, valves, and gears.
- Utilize diagnostic tools—both mechanical and computerized—to identify and resolve mechanical faults.
- Collaborate effectively with electricians and other technical staff to complete complex repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and promptly report significant mechanical failures.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands -on experience as a Diesel Mechanic specializing in buses.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Experience with bus -specific maintenance, repair, and service protocols.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings,
schematics, and service manuals.
- In -depth knowledge of diesel engines, fuel injection systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in engine rebuilding, component replacement, and system diagnostics.
- Familiarity with air brake systems, suspension systems, and transmission repair.
